Haunted Waters
Send us your story & water!
We are collecting stories & samples for our Haunted Waters Bar. At our bar, the shelves are lined with waters full of spirits, also known as chemical cocktails. They are collected from all around the world by citizens, scientists, activists, and people like you!
While chemicals, sewage, plastics and other anthropogenic contaminants were not intended to end up in the water, they did and continue to do so for various reasons. The moment they enter the aquatic environment they turn into ‘ghosts’ and ‘spirits’ haunting our planetary hydrological cycles.
To learn how to live with these spirits, we need to get to know them and their stories. Help us make the ghostly contaminants visible by sending us a story & bottle of water to be included in an interactive art installation. Currently on show until the end of September 2024 at iMAL, Brussels.
